Learn Spanish in Valencia, Spain
Valencia is a sun-kissed destination on the eastern Mediterranean coast of Spain and a very popular destination for learning Spanish. Besides the beach and the sea, Valencia and its environs offer countless sights, exciting attractions, large sport events, culinary delights and much more. One of the best arguments for choosing Valencia for studying Spanish is, of course, its outstanding climate: 300 days of sunshine every year with the Mediterranean beckoning you to dive right in between April and mid-October.
In the old part of town you can see and feel Valencia's Arabic past as you wander blissfully through the narrow streets on your way to the 750-year-old cathedral or the glorious buildings from the Gothic and Art Nouveau eras. One of the largest and most recent of Valencia's attractions is the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences), a modern city standing on the dry riverbed of the river Turia. You'll be fascinated by the sights and views of Valencia!
If you like sport, you can enjoy the America's Cup and annual Formula 1 race in Valencia. The culinary delights of Valencia include the traditional paella dish, which tastes better in Valencia than anywhere else in the world. They also know how to party in Valencia and don’t take life too seriously. Each March sees the spring celebration of the Fallas where larger-than-life colourful papier-mâché figures are erected and then set ablaze on the last day of the celebration. The last weekend in August sees Valencia's streets transformed into a river of tomato sauce during the Tomatina, a world-famous tomato fight dating back to the 1940's.
Discover Valencia, learn Spanish and catch the sunny spirit and joie-de-vivre of Valencia's people!

"Hello! If you want to study Spanish come to Valencia! It has many advantages. It’s in Valencia, beautiful city with diverse architecture from Roman times up to today. You will find places for every desire. Museums, gardens and parks. But most important is the school team that cares about you, answers all questions and organizes various activities. The Spanish teachers are all very nice and teach grammar via different topics so you never get bored! Nobody kills you if you make a mistake! For me “super”! You’re running into Spanish students from countries all around the world. Accommodation: I was lucky: my host took care of me like I was a baby. All this accompanied by the sun (normally!). In addition, a 20 minute bus or subway ride and you are at the beach… ¡Viva Valencia!"
"Hello! My name is Patricia. I’m from Paris in France. I just spent two weeks in Valencia, a very pleasant stay, both at the Spanish school and also with my host family. I liked this city especially for the beauty of its architecture from different epochs. I was here with four friends. We also took advantage of our time here to visit Xátiva and its castle. We spent a great day there, a beautiful place. Last Sunday we spent the day on the beach and ate a very delicious paella. The extracurricular activities (especially the paella with seafood and the tapas tour) were a lot of fun. I have improved my Spanish thanks to our teachers and the exchanges with my hosts. I also liked a lot to meet students from other nationalities. Thanks to the school, Vincent and Monte for this unique experience. One day I will return to Valencia…"
"Desires are rarely satisfied fully, but this time they were fulfilled during my stay at Valencia. The care and the kindness that had been provided for me, made my stay unbelievably enjoyable. Thanks to the teachers, for their patience, their diversified and intelligent classes and in future it surely won’t happen that I don’t know anything to say in Spanish. I return to France feeling safer and more comfortable speaking Spanish, I also think that chocolate, ‘Water of Valencia’ and Paella had helped me a lot. For all that I have improved my Spanish without tremendous effort. Goodbye everybody!"
"I was in Valencia for four weeks and I had the opportunity to visit many sights, meet new friends and celebrate many parties. Valencia is a good choice for vacations, because it is very diverse.
I’ve been with a family (mother & son). My mother is a very friendly and outgoing person and I could talk to her about everything and I understood her very well. She always tried to explain Spanish customs and helped me understand and learn new words etc.
Above that she is also a good cook. About the Spanish school: For me it was important that we talk a lot in Spanish in the Spanish classes in order to practice conversations. At first we studied grammar, which I had learned before, but it was a good repetition. And yes, the parties were so much fun!
Thanks for everything."
"Hello! My name is Jonas and I’m from Switzerland. I spent the last three weeks at the Spanish school in Valencia. It was an awesome time! The Spanish teachers are very nice and the Spanish classes are a lot of fun. I have learned a lot. In addition, there were activities or trips almost every day. I went to the Paella party three times and enjoyed it every time. The school does its best to combine Spanish classes and parties. Viva the Spanish way of living!"
"Hi all! I would like to thank my Spanish teachers at the language school for their very interesting and lively classes, and the entire school team (especially Marta for her availability and support) who has organized extracurricular activities that were fun and varied: the welcoming paella, the guided tour through the city center of Valencia, the tapas tour (very nice!), the Seafood Fair and also the Flamenco show in the “Café del Duende” (great for me because I dance flamenco). All these activities have allowed us to meet some Spanish students from other countries and share our impressions in the Spanish language. Thank you very much, really, for everything and everyone."
