Our School Location
Our language school in New York, USA is located in the heart of the city, in the world-renowned district of Manhattan, on Fifth Avenue. Being just one block away from Broadway and a stone’s throw away from the famous Macy’s shopping centre and the New York Public Library, the language school boasts an exciting location in which to learn English. The imposing Empire State Building, one of New York’s many famous landmarks, is situated directly across the street. Students can expect a unique setting, a location characterised by its incredible diversity and which promises impressive cultural sights and something fun to suit all interests.

The language centre is located in a restored Art Deco building and has been modernised with the latest equipment and teaching aids. Interactive whiteboards make learning easy and effective. All of the classrooms are bright and spacious and are just the right size for each class. The school has seventeen classrooms, two computer rooms with Internet access and Wi-Fi in all rooms. There is also a lobby where students are welcomed, can get information and can book the leisure activities on offer. Two lounges are a central gathering spot for students and teachers to congregate between lessons. Students also have access to a study centre and a library for additional research needs and study time.
The school in New York also has a centre exclusively for our executive clients furnished with flat-screen TV, daily newspapers and magazines, Wi-Fi and Skype, snacks, as well as a computer, printer, photocopier, telephone and fax machine.

The junior English language courses in New York are a unique experience for young participants between 12 and 19 years old. The junior students can experience an excellent mix of exciting English lessons and equally excitingleisure activities. The junior English language course in New York consists of 20 lessons of 50 minutes per week.
This ensures that the course is at the right level for them and neither too easy or too difficult. Then there is the orientation session where the new arrivals are welcomed, they receive their timetable and an overview of the planned activities and get to know the school building and the campus. The students have their language courses in groups with a maximum class size of 15 participants. The relatively small group size ensures that all the junior students can take part in discussions and the teacher can concentrate on the language needs of individual students. The school pays particular attention to making the groups as international as possible.
This will enable the participants to make friends with people from many different countries and encourage them to communicate in English outside the classroom. The classes focus on the four language areas: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The teachers aim to give the students self-confidence in the use of the foreign language and encourage them, above all, to speak English. During their stay the students receive progress reports and the teachers give them constant support to help them achieve their language leaning goals. All the teaching materials are provided by the school, and the students only need to bring a writing pad and pens with them. At the end of the course the junior students will receive a certificate of attendance. Course Dates and Info
Prices for the junior programme to New York include:
Language course: 20 lessons with 50 minutes each per week, 13 students per class (average, max. 15 students), course material including books, international classes, welcome package, full activity programme, supervised sports programme and excursions, e.g. basketball, baseball, bowling etc. Minimum 3 half day excursions and one full days excursion per week, sports and team activites, course certificate, personal support in New York (24/7).
Residence: Accommodation in Single or double rooms, fullboard (breakfast, lunch and dinner), free Wifi, 24 hours security system.
Transfer: The transfer is not included in the package and costs from 180,- Euro per person.
Please note, that the language school charges and extra fee of 95,- Euro in case you booked the unaccompanied minor service with the airline.
In New York, the students will live together in our campus residence in Manhattan's Upper West Side. The staff of the language school will be present around the clock so that the students can practice their language with a language partner even at night.
In the residence, students are accommodated in single or double rooms, where there will be sufficient space to store personal items as well as a comfortable space where they can do their homework. The bathroom is shared with four other students.
The rooms are equipped with free internet access and in their free time, the students can make the most of the campus open areas such as basketball courts and other sports facilities. For those wanting to do laundry, there are coin operated washing machines also available.
Included in the price is full board accommodation with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is usually typically American, for example, a muffin and juice served in the cafeteria of the campus. Lunch will be a sandwich and snacks and can also be made as a packed lunch. In the evening, everyone comes together for the main meal. This is a hot dish such as a pasta dish with salad and a dessert.
On the junior language courses an exciting activity program is equally as important as the interesting lessons. There is nowhere better for juniors to experience than New York and parents do not need to worry about their children as there are always supervisors to make sure that the students are not left alone in New York city.
The children arrive in New York on Sunday and spend the day resting after the journey and getting to know the campus. On the first Monday the students have lunch together and an orientation session followed by games to break the ice before the Welcome Party in the evening.
You can guarantee that the students will not be bored for one moment as on the following days there are many exciting things to do. There are trips to New York City where they can see Times Square, discover 5th Avenue and the Empire State Building, visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, or take a trip to the zoo. The program can also include trips to amusement parks and there is often the chance to see a play on Broadway. On the campus and in the immediate vicinity of the school there are facilities for numerous sporting activities such as basketball, baseball or bowling. A scavenger hunt is always a lot of fun and you can relax on the beach in the afternoon. In the evenings, the school organises frequent activities on the campus, such as: film nights, karaoke nights and international parties. All transport to the activities is included in the price.
