Exam preparation courses

Our language school in Florence offers preparation courses for the following Italian language exams:

CELI – Certificate

We recommend a preparation course for the CELI certificate (Certificato di Conoscenza della lingua Italiana) if you need official proof of your level of Italian for your study, your profession or government authorities. The CELI certificates are officially recognised by both the Italian Ministry of Education and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They have a very long tradition, are being constantly developed and are recognised throughout the world.

The course is a combination of 4 lessons in a group in the morning and 2 private lessons in the afternoon. Please note that to participate on this course, your Italian must be at least Level A2 within the Common European Framework of Reference.

CILS - Certificate

If you want to study in Italy or need an officially recognised certificate proving your knowledge of Italian for your employer, a university or a government, the preparation course for the CILS certificate (Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera) is the right choice. The CILS certificate is a qualification that is officially recognised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is required by almost all Italian universities for admission to a course.

The CILS exam was created by the University for Foreigners in Siena and is divided into 6 levels. Please note that to participate on this course, your Italian must be at least Level A2 within the Common European Framework of Reference.

The course consists of 4 group lessons in the morning and 2 private 1:1 lessons in the afternoon.

The CIC certificate (Certificato di conoscenza dell'italiano Commerciale) verifies your Italian language ability, which is important in the commercial world. In addition, the CIC certificate is official proof of your Italian language skills for work, studies or government authorities. The CIC certificates are recognized by both the Italian Ministry of Education and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

CIC exams were created by the University for Foreigners in Perugia and can be taken in June each year.
